The original Afton House has been receiving guests since the 1800's. It was first a summer resort, one of the country's oldest hotels, set over a magnificent view of Virginia's piedmont. The old hotel burned to the ground in 1963, and was replaced with a gracious brick home that now greets Bed and Breakfast guests.

The Bed and Breakfast is on 14 acres with cottages set apart from each other and the main house.

Shirley and Bill Stanton have furnished each room with an ever changing array of beautiful antiques from their adjacent shop.
